Hi, my name is Christy!
I'm the owner and artist behind Ultra Rare Club, located in Orange County, CA.
Coming from a branding and graphic design background, I created Ultra Rare Club as my creative outlet to indulge in arts and crafts. I specialize in digital vector illustration and use foiling (a printmaking technique) as my main medium. My art style is often described as dark and edgy, taking inspiration from my favorite media and pop-culture icons such as Sailor Moon, Sanrio, and Pokémon.
The process of my art requires drawing my illustrations with pencil and paper, vectorizing them digitally, and then printing and foiling, layer by layer for each color of foil.
At pop-up events, I offer interactive activities such as live portrait drawing, and a keychain making station - honing my illustration and crafting skills.
