The year 2026 marks the Year of The Fire Horse. For this year I was commissioned to create non-traditional red envelopes, inspired by Ponyta, the famous fire horse Pokémon. Ponyta is born weak and clumsy, but grows strong and fast as it chases its parents, which is very symbolic of the year.
Four different colors were created for this design, an assortment of red and pinks. The design was drawn with pencil and paper, then vectorized digitally. Each envelope was then foiled, cut by hand, folded, and glued individually.
